Operation Transformation Walk Day

Do you feel like you need a little help to kick-start your New Year? Cavan Sports Partnership is taking part in RTE’s Operation Transformation walk day. 

National Walk DayOn Saturday 14th January Cavan Sports Partnership is organising an Operationa Transformation Walk Day. It will be just one of 33 walks that are being held across the country in association with the Irish Sports Council and RTE’s ‘Operation Transformation’ TV programme. The aim of the walk is to encourage people acros the country to adopt a healthier lifestyle. What’s more, if you are thinking about getting fitter this year, it demonstrates that it still is not too late to start!

This year, Cavan Sports Partnership is running a campaign to help local people get fitter and healthier. The programme is called Fitwise.

The aim of the programme is to teach healthy lifestyle habits that you will be able to maintain once the programme has finished. It is about learning to change old, bad habits and to form new ones around exercise and healthy eating. What’s more, it about becoming healthier in a fun environment with other people from your local area.
