It’s Christmas Eve and Sharky has returned to Dublin to look after his irascible, ageing brother who’s recently gone blind. Old drinking buddies Ivan and Nicky are holed up at the house too, hoping to play some cards. With the arrival of a stranger from the distant past, the stakes are raised ever higher. In fact, Sharky may be playing for his very soul.

It’s 1966 in rural Ireland. 17-year-old lovers, Joe and Mag, meet on a hill overlooking the town of Ballymore to study for their Leaving Certificate. Mag is pregnant. Rather than study they spend most of their time contemplating the town below them, bickering and dreaming of a future that seems evermore unattainable. A dark comedy which is above all else, vastly entertaining. Not to be missed.
